Special recognition to Baa Drammeh, a true champion and co-founder of Hope 19 For The Gambia
🇬🇲! 🙏💕 Baba's selfless efforts began in September 2020, coordinating donations for a widow with small children in need. His work led to a significant donation of $1,000 (D50,000) in July 2021, with a commitment to lifetime support for one of the children.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Baba demonstrated exceptional leadership, supplying over 300 families with food packages across three regions (West Coast Region, LRR, and URR in The Gambia). He led a team of three volunteers, including the late Drammeh. May Allah SWT grant him Jannah.

Baba's dedication and kind heart inspire us all. May Allah reward your kindness and generosity. Ameen! 🙏 May He grant you strength, good health, and continued success. JazakAllah Khair (May Allah reward you with good) for all your efforts. ❤️

Work is progressing very well at the house of the beneficiary who lost her home from the recent storm in The Gambia that left several people dead and homeless. The family is just two days away from owning their home back. We want to thank our anonymous donor for funding this project.

48 hours after receiving D50,000.00 (ie. $1,000.00) from one of our generous donors, this widow of 4 children wasted no time restoring their roof that was shattered by last week’s windstorm. We want to thank this donor including those who supported the Hope19 fundraiser last year for helping us serve families in need of food and emergency assistance in The Gambia 🇬🇲.

Following a disaster that left over 10 people dead and thousands homeless in The Gambia , we received a call from an anonymous donor who provided $1,000.00 (i.e., D50,000) of donations to support a widow with minor children through the Hope19 for The Gambia link.

The donor also committed to providing lifetime support for one of the children up to 18 years and beyond. We want to thank them and everyone who have been supportive of the hope19 campaign through their generous donations. Because without your trust and confidence in this team, this family would still be struggling. May Allah reward us all equally!

Quranic Memorization School Needs Mosque 🕌 🕌 🕌 🕌 Renovation!!!📚📚📚📚📔📔📔🎒🎒🎒

Khairu Daara Islamic Memorization School needs your urgent support to renovate the existing Mosque. Currently the mosque is being used for both prayers, (including Jummah/Friday prayers) and a learning center for the students because there are no classroom blocks.
Currently, there mosque ceiling is leaks during rainy seasons causing a lot of disruptions to stage classes. The mosque is also very small. During Friday prayers the women are unable to be catered for and usually pray outside. There is already an existing plan to expand the mosque but funds are unavailable.
The current mosque was constructed by a donor some few years back and Khairu Daara has no funds currently to embark on a renovation.
Yaqub Drammeh, the Founder of the School, is a 33 year old Gambian who studied at Maahad Islamic Institute in Brikama, The Gambia. He currently resides in the outskirts of Madinaba, The Gambia, which is far from the main road. Following his graduation, he proceeded to study and memorize the Holy Quran. After a few years, he became blind, but he was not deterred from contributing his quota to propagate Islam in his local community.
With some support, Yaqub opened a Quranic Memorization School called Khairu' Daraa, in his community in Mandinaba. His mission is to teach children, both male and female, the Book of Allah i.e. Al-Quran (The Qur’an). Yaqub, allocated his land property to start running the school. He used rooms in his house to teach the students.
In order to create a conducive environment for the children to learn and memorize the Holy Quran, your assistance is direly needed to renovate the mosque.
Abu Huraira reported that there came a person to the Messenger of Allah (May Peace Be Upon Him) and said: Messenger of Allah, which charity is the best? Upon this he said: That you should give charity (in a state when you are) healthy and close-fisted, one haunted by the fear of poverty, hoping to become rich (charity in such a state of health and mind is the best). And you must not defer (charity to such a length) that you are about to die and would he saying: This is for so and so, and this is for so and so. Lo, it has already come into (the possession of so and so). - Muslim :: Book 5 : Hadith 2250.
We therefore, seek your assistance in helping educate the future leaders of Mandinaba Community and our Ummah at large in the understanding and propagation of Islam.

team delivers monthly supply of groceries to one of our beneficiaries in Brikama

Last week we received a generous donation of $50.00 on behalf of a beneficiary in Brikama - two months since the end of our 90 days campaign.

This afternoon through our National Coordinators, we delivered one bag of 50kg rice, 5 liters of oil, and a half bag of potato. The beneficiary is a minor and a dependent of a widow with 3 other children.

At the donor’s request, we agreed to provide a monthly allowance of $50 to $55 each month to support this family.

We have reached the end of our 90 days campaign and would like to take this opportunity on behalf of Hope 19 For The Gambia to extend our sincere gratitude to all donors, partners, and supporters of our campaign against COVID-19.

Your donations, likes, and shares have made it possible for some 293 families benefit from food packages in 3 of 5 regions and inspired many to distribute their fair share of similar food packages to limit the spread of Covid-19 in The Gambia.

This is the kind of inspiration we at the beginning of the campaign and excited to see many generous donors come forward providing similar support. There are still families out there seeking for help therefore
