Bladder problems—incontinence, leaking, or peeing your pants—can be life-altering. When treatments haven’t worked, or you’re considering something invasive, you deserve to know exactly what’s going on before making that next decision.

A urodynamic study is a specialized set of tests, typically completed in 30–60 minutes, that evaluates how your bladder, sphincter, and urethra actually function. It goes beyond guesswork—measuring bladder pressure, urine flow, and muscle activity to pinpoint the true cause of symptoms like urgency, leakage, frequent urination, weak stream, or incomplete emptying.

Urodynamics is widely recognized as the gold standard for diagnosing bladder problems because it provides objective, actionable data—not assumptions.

Not everyone needs urodynamics. But if your condition is complex, not improving, or you’re being advised to move toward a procedure that can’t be undone, having the right diagnosis matters.

At CCA Continence Center of America, we bring 25 years of experience and more than 27,000 urodynamic studies performed—delivering university-level diagnostic precision in a patient-focused setting.

We are currently offering this comprehensive study for a $300 day-of-service rate. Mesa and Sun City

LIMITED TIME: URODYNAMIC TESTING – $300 CASH PAY 🚨
CCA Continence Center of America is now offering urodynamic testing for $300 (regularly $550) when paid at the time of service at our Sun City/Mesa Arizona locations.

Why are we doing this?
Too many patients are being delayed, denied, or burdened by insurance companies when they need answers now.
According to National Institutes of Health (NIH) Urodynamic testing is the gold standard for evaluating bladder function. It measures how well your bladder stores and releases urine and helps diagnose conditions like:

✔ Urinary incontinence
✔ Frequent urination
✔ Difficulty emptying the bladder
✔ Urgency and leakage issues

These tests provide critical data about bladder pressure, flow, and muscle function—allowing providers to make accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

💡 The reality: insurance hurdles are preventing patients from getting necessary care in a timely manner. We believe you shouldn’t have to wait.

is 12 days away, and whether you can attend or not, we want to share what we are fighting for on Capitol Hill. One of our major asks over the last couple of years has been Prior Authorization, and this The Journal of Urology article highlights how it is hurting patients. Urologists report long delays, non‑specialist reviewers, and real impacts on outcomes. Nearly all measures point to the same conclusion: it creates barriers, not better care.

Why Some Men Still Have Urinary Symptoms After Prostate Surgery

A recent study in Continence Reports (2025) found that detrusor underactivity is the main reason many men continue to experience urinary problems even after undergoing Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) — a common surgery for benign prostatic enlargement.

In fact, 70% of men with persistent symptoms after TURP had detrusor underactivity, not obstruction.
That means the bladder itself, not the prostate, is often the real problem.

At CCA Continence Center of America, we specialize in urodynamic testing, which identifies whether symptoms are caused by obstruction, overactivity, or underactivity of the bladder. This distinction is critical — repeating prostate surgery when it is the bladder muscle can make symptoms worse, not better.

If you or someone you know continues to have urgency, frequency, or difficulty emptying the bladder after prostate surgery, a comprehensive urodynamic evaluation may provide the answers and help guide proper treatment.

CCA Continence Center of America — Arizona’s only freestanding urodynamic center, helping thousands of men and women understand and treat their bladder symptoms for over 25 years.

🔍 New in Continence Reports

A recent study explores why some patients experience persistent lower urinary tract symptoms after TURP for benign prostatic enlargement.

Findings suggest detrusor underactivity, rather than persistent obstruction, may underlie unfavorable outcomes — highlighting the importance of urodynamic evaluation in post-TURP assessment.
