DAV has announced a generous $200,000 donation from Ford Motor Company to help support free transportation to medical appointments for America’s ill and injured veterans.

The gift will fund the purchase of five new vehicles for the DAV Transportation Network, which operates a nationwide fleet through which volunteers provide disabled veterans with free transportation to and from U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs medical appointments.

Update for those interested in volunteering to clean headstones at Ft Jackson National Cemetery on Sat., Sep 12.

1. We need to provide a list of volunteers by 31 Aug 2026. Reply here if you are able to attend. See flyer for more details.

2. Volunteers will need to bring gloves, buckets and brushes. The cemetery will provide the water for cleaning and any approved cleaning agents.

3. Dress comfortably. VFW 6740 will provide water.
