๐ A Special Thank You to Madison of Madison To The Rescue ๐
All of us at Hoardin' Huskies want to take a moment to recognize and thank an incredible rescuer, Madison of Madison to the Rescue.
Like Hoardinโ Huskies, Madison is working tirelessly to save dogs from Harris County Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. She is a woman of integrity, dignity, honor, and compassion, and the dogs she rescues are truly fortunate to have her fighting for them.
Recently, many rescues were working hard to network Mama Sunjaii and help get her to safety. Madison had more than $400 in pledges on her social media page for Mama Sunjaii. Instead of deleting those pledges once Mama Sunjaii was rescued by Hoardinโ Huskies, Madison did the honorable thing. She tagged the pledgers and encouraged them to honor their pledges directly to our rescue.
But she didn't stop there.
When someone sent Madison a $100 donation intended for Mama Sunjaii, she immediately reached out to us and forwarded the donation to Hoardinโ Huskies. After the difficult day Mama Sunjaii had endured, every single dollar mattered.
That is the kind of person Madison is.
We would love for all of you to show Madison and Madison to the Rescue some love and support. She is doing amazing work pulling dogs from Harris County and giving them a chance at the lives they deserve.
Sadly, not every rescue operates with that same level of integrity.
A few years ago, a dog we now know as Chevy was hit by a car in Conroe, Texas, suffering devastating injuries that ultimately cost him his leg. A large rescue organization had raised thousands of dollars in pledges on social media for Chevy. Once they learned he was safe and on his way to Neighborhood Veterinary Centers - Nederland for treatment, they simply deleted the post. There was no encouragement for supporters to redirect their pledges to help cover Chevyโs extensive medical expenses.
Madison chose a different path.
She chose transparency. She chose integrity. She chose to put the dog first.
Tonight, we want to publicly recognize Madison for the example she sets every single day. The rescue community needs more people like her, and the dogs she saves are incredibly lucky to have her in their corner.
Thank you, Madison, for your honesty, your compassion, and your unwavering commitment to the dogs. We know you will continue to be a blessing to every life you touch. ๐พโค๏ธ
