📢 Applications Are Now Open

We're excited to begin accepting applications for children in need of a bed. As a new organization, we are starting small so we can responsibly manage our resources and ensure we can continue serving families for years to come.

At this time, children receiving beds must reside within the 48801 or 48880 zip codes. We know there is need beyond these areas, and it is our hope to expand our service area as our volunteer base, funding, and community support grow.

To qualify, the child receiving the bed must be between the ages of 3 and 17. Applications may be submitted by the child's legal guardian or through a referral from a school, social service agency, family member, or other local organization.

Every child deserves a safe and comfortable place to sleep, and we're honored to begin this work in our community.

Today's test build was a success. Not only did we have amazing weather, but we successfully completed two beds and were able to test our processes for future builds. What an amazing team of volunteers. Thank you Anne and Larry for letting us use your space.

What a great morning at the Alma Highland Festival parade! Thankfully the rain held off. 🎉

Our team had a wonderful time connecting with the community, sharing more about our nonprofit’s mission, and celebrating everything that makes Gratiot County such a special place to call home.

Thank you to everyone who waved, stopped to talk, and showed their support along the parade route. We’re proud to serve Gratiot County and grateful for every opportunity to spread awareness about the work we do to support our neighbors and strengthen our community.

We were beyond grateful to His Place for hosting a 3-day bed drive in support of our nonprofit, Sleep in Heavenly Peace- Gratiot Co. It was an incredible reminder of what a community can accomplish when people come together for a meaningful cause.

Throughout those three days, we witnessed generosity, compassion, and kindness from so many individuals who donated, shared our mission, and helped make the event such a success. Because of this amazing community, more children will now have a safe and comfortable place to sleep — and fewer children will have had to sleep on the floor.

We are truly humbled by the outpouring of support and cannot thank everyone enough. A special thank you went to His Place for opening your doors and partnering with us to make a difference for local children and families.

This was what community looks like, and we were so thankful to be part of it. ❤️

Today is day 3 of 3 of our very first bedding drive. We are so grateful for all the donations so far and can't wait to see what today brings.
