Welcome to 2021, phew! It has been one crazy year. From Zoom business meetings to virtual happy hour and remote learning, I know that we are all looking forward to life going back to normal.
But one great thing that I learned in 2020 is that I can create Memories Live movies for anyone, worldwide, without losing quality and more importantly the connection with my clients — virtually mirrors our in-person option.
Since every day of 2020 has been a blursday (one of the defining words of 2020 referring to the difficulty in determining what day of the week it is), here is a reminder of 5 things you should know about Memories Live:
I use the power of film to help people facing life-limiting illnesses preserve their images, stories and wisdom for those they love.
The organization is literally a “one woman” show. I am the filmmaker, marketer, coordinator, interviewer, editor and producer.
My services have touched the lives of thousands of family members from all over the country. I have traveled throughout the New York tri-state region to work with clients in their homes or at their bedsides. I’ve also worked with clients as far away as Illinois and Seattle.
In nearly eleven years, Memories Live has assisted over 200 magnificent, inspiring, funny, creative, shy, heroic and kind individuals tell their personal stories.
There is no cost to families for a Memories Live movie. This organization (of which I am the only employee) is supported solely by grants and donations.
As we welcome in 2021, let say good-bye to social distancing (not just yet) and hello to a year filled with health, laughs and lots of hugs. Thank you for believing in me, my mission and Memories Live.
Warmly,
Kerry
