If you haven’t yet peeked into our outdoor classroom, take a look at LH’s own planters! A huge shoutout to the Summit Eagle Scout who designed and built these boxes as part of his Eagle Scout project and to 5th grade teacher Mrs. Odgers Lax (+ her husband) who filled them. We spy lettuce, tomatoes, sunflowers, marigolds, and more growing! 🌱

Today, we excitedly welcomed 3x Paralympic gold medalist and Franklin Lakes, NJ native Jack Wallace (Sled Hockey) to LH. Jack shared his inspiring Paralympic journey and his experience at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Games where he scored a hat trick in the gold medal game against rival Canada. Our 2025-26 Volunteer of the Year award unanimously goes to Gemma Davies!

As her family gets ready to say goodbye to Lincoln Hubbard, we just want to say a big thank you for all the time, care, and heart she’s shared with our school over the years. She’s helped in classrooms, stepped up at events, put together (many!) yearbooks, chaired Circus Minimus, and taken photos to capture the moments—all of which has made a real difference.

Gemma, you helped make our school a more joyful and connected place for every student. We’ll truly miss seeing you around, but the impact you’ve had will stay with us! 💙💛🦁

Our fifth grade unit of LH 💙💛 Art was inspired by Summit Beacon (by City Hall) and Pleiades (next to Marigold’s fountain) by Ray King. King describes his “Summit Beacon” piece as “one for all, all for one”- one cohesive work of art made up of multiple shapes. Held together as a unit, this 5-sided shape takes inspiration from Betsy Ross and her 5-pointed star, perfectly suitable to be placed in our City Hall. The students were encouraged to be creative and inspired by the sculptures and cut shiny origami paper into shapes to fit together to create one cohesive piece. ⚽️🏈 Field Day 2026! 🏀🍕 It was the perfect day to be active outside and set some class records in the bucket relay, pizza delivery, spinning plates relay, World Cup shooting, football hula-hoop, and more. Thank you to the LH teachers, staff, and parent volunteers for creating such a fun experience!
