Clap Your Hands has been busy - we came back from our Summer break this week. August 1 - 7 we donated 55 products - 1 week.

JULY - we donated back to school SAMPLE BAGS to our self contained classrooms - we filled every order, right down to the last classroom therapeutic product. We were happy to do it.

***if your school or organization is looking to sponsor a fundraiser, I would like too humbly ask that you would consider Clap Your Hands. We are all volunteers, and work out of our homes. 100% of the donations received go directly back to our community - Berkeley, Charleston, DD 2 & 4.

A wonderful opportunity to see a local production of The Addams Family Musical.

Our SAMPLE BAG give-away was a huge success! We were able to donate to schools in the Berkeley, Charleston and DD's 2 & 4 districts. Providing 787 therapeutic products to our students. We "sold" out of everything.
Clap Your Hands will be back to work the first week of August for our local families.

We have 30 schools and another page of a waiting list.
Thank you for everyone who has emailed us. I honestly wish we could provide for all the classrooms.

**on a side note, if any schools are looking to sponsor a local non-profit, all of our $$ goes back to therapeutic supplies for our local families and schools.

Who qualifies? Teachers in the counties of Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester's 2 & 4.

*We can NO LONGER accept multiple orders - once the teacher places an order for a SAMPLE BAG for their classroom, then that school cannot keep placing multiple orders.
I wish we had the funding to make sure all classrooms received a Sample Bag, but we have very limited funding and products.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM THE TEACHER?

Teachers full name, job title, school name, district of their school, how many students they expect in their classroom. A general diagnosis of the students - this gives us an idea of what therapeutic products we should include in your Sample Bag.
We usually donate every new school year about 2,000 products in the LowCountry - so we appreciate your patience. If we have additional questions, we will email. Once you have confirmation that your order is complete we will let you know ASAP. We ask that you pick up your Sample Bag as soon as possible, as we have limited space.

Summerville, SC Parks & Recreation Post ~

Looking for more inclusive programming outside of our Dancing Without Limits events???
You're in luck, as Summerville Parks and Rec is launching a brand-new monthly Limitless program! 🥳

Starting on the second Friday in April, we'll be hosting different programs open to people with special needs and their families and caregivers. We'll also have two sessions on these days, with participants ages 5-12 meeting from 5-7pm and participants ages 13+ meeting from 7-9pm.

It all kicks-off with our Limitless Fun program on April 10th! Join us for pickleball, bean bag toss, basketball, and MORE that night at the Rollins Edwards Community Center. Clap Your Hands has donated a total of 1,250 therapeutic products in the Low Country from January thru May 2026. We were able to send 5 local children to Summer Camp for the week.
Clap Your Hands is now on our Summer Break - this allows our volunteers to spend time with their family and friends.
We will be back to work the first week of August.
