We had a great meeting last night. Our Post Commander presented membership longevity awards for 5, 10, 15 20, 25, 30, 40, and 50 years. Our post hasn't been able to do this for many years. Thanks to our Commander Ken Thompson, Historian Dave Corvino, and Post Adjutant Bob Ticknor for knocking this out! We also received our Post Award for 100% membership from the state! Thank you all for your continued support and growing membership!

Today was one of those days that reminds you what the American Legion family is all about. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to help place flags for Memorial Day. Seeing veterans, families, friends, and community members working side by side to honor our fallen heroes was truly humbling. Every flag placed represents a life, a sacrifice, and a story that should never be forgotten.

Your time, effort, and respect shown today helped ensure these heroes are remembered with the dignity they earned. It may seem like a simple act, but it carries tremendous meaning for the families, the community, and every veteran who understands the cost of freedom.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for showing up, pitching in, and helping us carry on this sacred tradition. We could not do it without each and every one of you.

May we never forget those who gave everything for this country. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Donating to non-profits is a worthy cause. However, always be cautious when thinking its a true non-profit. Always ask for financials if you have questions.

When in doubt always check with the SC Secretary of State home page. Here is a great article link from last December on Giving Tuesday.

(Columbia, SC) โ€“ In anticipation of this yearโ€™s Giving Tuesday, Secretary of State Mark Hammond is urging South Carolinians to support nonprofits and practice wise charitable giving.ย
