COURAGE CLUB members had a blast today at iSmash Charleston! There’s a special kind of healing that comes from breaking things in a rage room with other AYA and young onset survivors and thrivers! Several of our Boonies said “I really needed this!” so we know we’ll be back! Stay tuned for more photos (and videos!) of our Boonies breaking things!

SURVIVOR SUPPORT session is coming up September 10th! Boonies are invited to register for the session in Circle. We’ll cover topics like survivor guilt, fear of recurrence, and navigating the new normal. THANKFUL THURSDAY shout out to Good Shepherd Day School Summer Camp and the talented young campers who decorated sleep masks to be included in our Boon Bags for AYA cancer patients! Boon Bags are filled with patient resources and comfort items (like sleep masks) and are one of the ways we connect with young adults facing cancer. We appreciate the generosity of these young artists and their teachers. We know our new Boonies who receive these sleep masks in the coming months will be encouraged!

This event raises funds for our Patient Support program- providing Boon Bags, financial assistance, patient resources, survivorship education & support, and more! FITNESS FORCE fall training officially kicks off in one week, but some of our Boonies have already started preparing for their fall goals! Thanks to our Fitness Force Coach Bethany for creating extended training plans for those preparing for the half marathon run in November! We’re excited to help survivors, thrivers, and caregivers find their fit after cancer! Follow along and cheer them on!
