We’ll share updates on PTA programs and events, discuss upcoming opportunities, introduce ways families can get involved, and vote on important PTA business, including our proposed 2026–2027 budget.

☀️ Everyone in our Sires school community is welcome to attend, listen and learn! You do not have to be a PTA member to join the meeting. However, only current 2026–2027 PTA members may vote on PTA business.

🎃🍬 Candy Contest Update! 🍬🎃

The leaderboard is heating up, but we still have a long way to go to collect enough candy for all 900+ of our Stingrays!

Right now, our Top 3 classes are:

🥇 Pickford – 11 bags
🥈 Jeffords – 10 bags
🥉 Sellers – 7 bags

There’s still plenty of time for the rankings to change! The class that collects the most candy by Monday, October 26 will win a special PTA prize. 🏆

📣 Please remember to write your child’s teacher’s name clearly on every bag of candy so their class receives credit. We already have a few mystery bags we can’t assign to a classroom.

Keep those donations coming so we can make Salty’s Sweet Treat Spooktacular extra sweet for every Stingray! 💜💚🧡

We’re looking for 18 decorated trunks plus a few additional volunteers to help hold doors, direct students, and keep everything running smoothly during the school day.

🎃✨ Salty’s Sweet Treat Spooktacular is coming Wednesday, October 28! Our Stingrays will kick off the morning with a Book Character Parade around the school and bus loop, followed by Trunk-or-Treat starting at 8:00am. 📚🍬

Families are invited to gather around the bus loop to cheer on our students during the parade! We can’t wait for a fun-filled morning of books, costumes, treats, and Stingray spirit! 💜💚🧡

From supporting our students, staff, and families to showing up for every event—and so often being the one behind the camera—Dr. Robinson pours her heart into Sires. We are so grateful for her years of dedication to our Stingray family and so lucky to have her leading the way! 💜💚

💜💚 WOW, STINGRAYS — TONIGHT WAS AMAZING! 🍔🧀🍦

We CURDn’t have asked for a better turnout for our Culver’s Spirit Night! Our hearts (and Culver’s!) were FULL tonight with students, families, teachers and staff coming together for dinner and a whole lot of Stingray CommUNITY. 💜

We especially loved seeing so many members of our Sires staff join us after a full day at school — from incredible teachers to our school nurse, both of our media center specialists, our Title I facilitator and so many more. Seeing our school family spending time together outside the classroom is exactly what Building CommUNITY is all about. ☀️

And a HUGE thank you to our friends at Culver’s of Ladson! Their team worked incredibly hard taking care of our crowd tonight, even while dealing with some unexpected A/C trouble. They made sure our Spirit Night was completely wrapped up before having to close early, and we are so grateful for their hard work, hospitality and continued support of our Stingrays. 💙

To every family, student and staff member who came through the doors (or the drive-thru!) and said “SIRES” tonight — THANK YOU! Every meal helps support the programs, events and extras PTA provides for our school. 💜💚

Tonight was pretty SCOOP-endous... and thankfully, we don't have to wait too long to do it again! 😉

“It was our pleasure! 💜💚 Helping every Stingray shine sometimes means providing a little shade. ☀️☂️ We’re so happy to be able to give back to our students and school!”

A huge THANK YOU to our phenomenal Dr. Eugene Sires Elementary PTA for providing our students with these beautiful new umbrellas! ☂️💚💜

Our students can now enjoy eating outside in the shade—and what a wonderful class incentive! We are so grateful for the thoughtfulness and generosity of our PTA in helping make our school an even more special place for our students. 🌟

And good news — Spirit Night is ALL DAY! 🙌 Grab lunch, dinner, custard, or even swing through the drive-thru! Just tell them you’re with “SIRES” when you order and a portion of your purchase will come back to Sires Elementary PTA.

🌎 International Dinner Night 🌎

Join Dr. Eugene Sires Elementary School for a special evening celebrating the many cultures that make our Stingray family so wonderful! Families are invited to International Dinner Night on Thursday, October 1, from 5:30–7:00 PM in the Dr. Eugene Sires Elementary School Cafeteria.

🍽️ Bring a traditional dish to share that represents your family, culture, or heritage. Drinks will be provided, and we’ll enjoy cultural music, dancing, and community fellowship throughout the evening. Families are also encouraged to wear traditional attire to celebrate their heritage!
