Members of SUO were proud to attend the special celebration honoring the remarkable legacy of Mr. Larry Doby on Sunday, August 9 at the Joseph P. Riley Stadium. Doby was a Camden, South Carolina native and the second Black player to break Major League Baseball’s color barrier.

Joined by family and other members of the Divine Nine, we came together to celebrate Doby’s courage, perseverance, and historic contributions to baseball and American history.

Last week, members of Sigma Upsilon Omega had the privilege of joining thousands of extraordinary women at the 72nd Boule of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in Las Vegas. It was a week filled with meaningful business, impactful leadership, cherished fellowship, and memories that will last a lifetime.
