🏈 FROM AN UNDRAFTED HBCU ATHLETE TO NFL HALL OF FAMER.

Today, we’re celebrating our Founder, Donnie Shell—a South Carolina State University graduate who signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1974 as an undrafted rookie free agent and went on to become a 4-time Super Bowl Champion, 5-time Pro Bowler, and Pro Football Hall of Famer.

As ESPN recently highlighted, Shell went from “anonymity to stardom,” showing what can happen when someone is given an opportunity to be seen and supported.

South Carolina State University will host its Women's Basketball Elite Camp on Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

The camp is open to girls ages 14-18 or those entering the ninth through 12th grades, with rising ninth through 12th graders preferred.

The camp will connect participants with the SC State women's basketball program and the university's academic community while providing resources designed to have a lasting impact.

Participants will receive instruction from the SC State women's basketball coaching staff and compete in drills and live competition designed to improve individual fundamentals, basketball IQ and overall performance.

The registration fee is $75 per camper and includes lunch.
