South Carolina’s registration deadlines are:

October 2: Register in person before your county voter-registration office closes for the weekend.

October 4: Register online or submit your application by email or fax before midnight.

October 5: Mailed applications must be postmarked by this date.

South Carolina removed nearly 1.2 million voter registrations from its rolls between 2022 and 2025.

Do not wait until Election Day to discover that your registration is inactive or outdated. Check your status today, especially if you recently moved, have not voted in several years, or did not receive a voter confirmation card. Visit SCVotes.gov and select “Check My Registration.”

🪩 🕺 💃 On September 24, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., Chief Walker will be stepping out of his comfort zone and onto the dance floor at the Charleston Music Hall for the Battle of the Ballroom!  This new event benefits the CCSD Academic Project Fund, which supports creative and innovative efforts to strengthen teaching and learning across the Charleston County School District.
 
Chief Walker is paired with Charleston native, community advocate, and dance instructor/choreographer Demetria McNeil. The two share a strong belief in the importance of education and the opportunities it creates for the kids in our community.
We hope you’ll come out and support them as they take on this fun challenge!  If you’d like to attend the show, please email Sonia Greene at mailto:[email protected]. She can help arrange purchasing tickets without the additional ticketing fees.
