💦 We are all watching the weather closely... Here's what we're thinking...

🌧 For those of you who have experienced a few hurricane seasons here in the Lowcountry, you know it can pass quickly!

🌤 Depending on how the rest of the day goes, we plan to wait and check the fields Sunday morning.

💙 Since the fields are managed by Goose Creek, if they make the decision to postpone, then we will respect that decision! We can also re-route a corner or two if the rest of the field is dry.

💚 SO, as of now, we're going to see if we can make it happen. Two weeks in a row will crush our vibe!

🍎 So, save some of your hurricane snacks and bottle up that rainy day energy for extra fast race times!

🌧️ WEATHER UPDATE — SUNDAY’S RACE IS CANCELLED

Hi, HKRS families! 💚

After keeping a close eye on tomorrow’s forecast and considering the amount of rain our fields have already received, we’ve made the decision to cancel Sunday’s race.

With additional rain and thunderstorms expected during our setup and race window, our priority is keeping our runners, families, and volunteers safe — and giving everyone as much notice as possible tonight rather than waiting until the last minute tomorrow.

We’re disappointed not to see our runners at the starting line, but we know this is the right call. Thank you so much for your understanding and flexibility!

*Mark your calendars for our RAINY DAY MAKE-UP! Our final race will be Sunday October 25 - same time, same place!*

💙 Just keeping you posted that we CAN run in the rain (We will check condition of fields for safety), but we won’t run if it’s heavy downpour or with lightning/thunder.
