It is my pleasure and honor to introduce Pastor Hannah Conley. She is 90 years old and coming to share her wisdom and a Word from the Lord. She will be speaking at His House Ministries of Tennessee, July 28th at 10:00 a.m.. We are located 4909 US Hwy 43, Summertown.
Conley founded Abiding Love Restoration Center formally known as Agape Worship Assembly located in
Nashville, Tennessee, pastoring for 35 years. She was born April 6, 1934 in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee to the late Nick
and Lillian Branch and from their union came four beautiful daughters.
Her educational, career and life accomplishments include her receiving her foundational education in the Wilson
County Public School system, where she attained her High School Diploma. She furthered her education and
completed two years of college at A & I State College, now known as Tennessee State University. In 1959 Hannah
became a fully licensed cosmetologist and entrepreneur, owning her own beauty salon by 1962 servicing many
around the city of Nashville and surrounding areas.
Pastor Hannah Conley accepted Christ at the age of 12 where she was baptized at Mays Chapel Missionary Baptist
Church. Undoubtedly, even at this young age, began her faith journey, and out of this she served in areas such as
Choir President, Youth Advisor, and Sunday School Teacher.
At the age of 5, she would sit on the porch with her father, where they would sing songs together. This sparked her
love for music and particularly singing. She would often say she believed that singing would get her into Heaven
but soon she realized only a life lived by the Word Of God would get her there. Combining her great singing talents
with the talents of others, she found herself organizing several Gospel singing groups, such as The Spiritual Echos
and Gospel Volunteers. It was in the 1970s when God called her talents to a more prominent stage singing
alongside Bobby Jones and New Life on TV and album recordings. This experience evolved Hannah as an artist,
earning her credits as a music writer for a song titled, “He Lives” written and performed by Hannah Conley.
She is the mother of 3 wonderful and uniquely gifted children, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and
five great-great-grandchildren. It has been her life's mission to lead her family by example in teaching them to
respect themselves and each other in God's Love.
Hannah's Pastoral Ministry spans over many years. She was one of the founding members and served at Holy
Trinity United Baptist Church submitted under the leadership of the late Pastor Fred E. Conley. In 1988 she
received the call of God on her life to Pastor. Abiding Love ministry has been a blessing to many in need in the city
of Nashville. They have partnered with Room in the End Ministry and Bel Mont University in serving the
community by preparing and serving meals four times a week to many families.
Pastor Conley truly believes that God looked beyond her faults and chose her to be a servant for the Kingdom.
Through Ministry, she connected with her life's purpose. At a time when women in ministry wasn’t widely
accepted. She went against the odds and became one of the first African American Female’s to Pastor in the city of
Nashville. Today, Pastor Hannah Conley knows who she is and whose she is in life. This is how she endures.
Through her legacy, she wants everyone to remember only what you do for Christ will last
