Wild Ridge - A Young Life Camp

Wild Ridge is Young Life's newest camp. This is a place where thousands of kids will someday hear the Gospel and experience the best weeks of their lives.

Exciting things are on the horizon for Wild Ridge! We are so excited about the continued progress of the next additions to camp:

- Our multi-purpose building (that will initially house our kitchen, dining hall, club room, retail store, and snack bar) is quickly coming along!
- Construction on the first dorm is officially underway!

We are so grateful to those who have donated and prayed for Wild Ridge. We’re anticipate with hope what the Lord has in store for this next season!

April has been an exciting month with rolling out their crew to get the foundation laid for this new chapter of camp at Wild Ridge!

We couldn’t be more grateful for what the Lord gave us a little over a week ago here at camp! An evening FULL of His glory and His people, carrying out Young Life camp here at Wild Ridge. A night of firsts in so many ways:

First bus of kids!! 🚌
First steps in welcoming in the construction of our dining hall & club room!! 🍽️🎤
First Young Life club 👥🎶 & county fair!! 🎟️🎪

Thank you to everyone who came out & helped make this happen! We’re so excited for what’s to come!

It feels like camp is beginning to look different every single day recently & we want to invite YOU to come celebrate the progress with us!! 🎉

You read that right! We’re thrilled to announce & welcome you into a ground breaking open house on Oct. 5th for our future Club & Dining Room!

It will be an evening full of fun, vision casting, and celebration for what the Lord has, is & will be doing here at Wild Ridge. Refer to the photo above for all information on timing & how to RSVP⬆️

Last month Drew, his wife Kelsey, and our Eastern Division Camping Coordinator, Megan Vaught, had the privilege of attending the 2024 American Institution of Architects (AIA) West Virginia Excellence in Architecture Awards & Scholarship Benefit on behalf of Young Life and Silling Architects to accept the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗱𝗴𝗲!

The design was selected from a field of over 30 other projects to receive one of two highest awards of the field!

We’re honored to have be recognized for the intention we put into making camp a beautiful place and want to give special thanks to our architects for this project, Silling Architects, as well as our YL camp development consultant, Bill Tibbitt!

What a beautiful site! High school campaigners from across the state coming together to worship and learn more about living life on mission for Christ. We’re honored to be able to provide a space for things like this!

Our good friends from Rockbridge Alum Springs - A Young Life Camp got to spend a few days taking in the stillness and beauty of the Lord and this place He created, as well as getting to grow closer as a team, during their retreat at the Gauley River Lodge!

We’re so glad to be able to host groups like this year round and are always looking for more smiling faces around here in the winter time ❄️
