An education at Sumiton Christian is based upon God's Word as the foundation for all learning, and through this realization, students will gain knowledge through a Christ-centered education to guide them into a Ch

rist-centered life. We pride ourselves on being an academic leader in educational excellence. Boasting standardized test scores well above the national, state and regional averages. SCS is recognized as an Alabama Independent School Association Blue Ribbon school, a designation reserved for only a few select schools. Student life outside the classroom is also an integral part of the SCS experience. We encourage students to pursue personal interests through our award-winning fine arts department, extensive athletic program and various clubs and organizations on campus. We believe the lessons learned inside and outside the classroom will help our students learn self-discipline, self-esteem, respect for others and selflessness. Eligible K5–12th grade students can receive $7,000 per student to apply toward tuition at Sumiton Christian School, along with additional approved services such as tutoring and educational resources.

At Sumiton Christian School, students experience a Christ-centered education, strong academics, fine arts opportunities, and competitive athletics—all grounded in faith and purpose.

Attention families! 📚 The application portal for the CHOOSE Act is coming soon: renewing families can apply, for the next school year, starting December 15, 2025, and new families can begin applying January 2, 2026. The portal will close March 31, 2026, and award notifications go out April 15, 2026. We’ll keep you updated with any new info in the days ahead — stay tuned!
