On June 12, 1948, a historic step toward equality in military service was signed into law.

President Harry S. Truman enacted the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act, allowing women to serve as regular members of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, United States Air Force, and U.S. Marine Corps for the first time in U.S. history.

D-Day Remembrance | June 6, 1944 - Today, we pause to honor the brave souls who stormed the beaches of Normandy 81 years ago—heroes who answered the call of duty and changed the course of history.
On this day in 1944, thousands of American, Allied, and partner forces stood together in the face of overwhelming odds. Their courage, sacrifice, and unity remind us what it truly means to serve something greater than oneself.
Join with us at Disabled American Veteran to show them we are forever grateful.

Let us never forget the cost of freedom—and those who paid for it.
