What a sad day for our state.💔

Louisiana, under Jeff Landry’s administration, has just canceled the largest coastal restoration project in our history.

We’re watching our wetlands disappear before our eyes while abandoning the only real hope we had for large-scale restoration and nourishment of the ecosystems that still remain.

We desperately need projects like the Mid-Barataria Sediment Diversion to reconnect the Mississippi River to our nutrient-starved wetlands.

Dredging is a short-term band-aid. It does nothing to reverse the long-term damage caused by cutting off the river’s natural ability to rebuild our swamps and marshes.

Canceling this project is a major step backward in the fight to save our coast.

When Titans Talk 🦐

These two powerhouses have created such a large impact for their communities.

Ms Debra, the subject of our first episode, Poison the Well 001, has been fighting environmental racism for her home of Mossville, LA, for 40 years. The day we took out the shrimp boat, turned 70. It was her first boat ride!

On a boat for three hours, we were able to have impactful conversations about community building, and the necessity for all birds of a feather to flock together.

Travis, the founder of , and star of our Ground Zero episode, Fishermen Fight Back 000, has been making waves, and emerging swiftly as a leader of Gulf coast fisherman. Travis, his efforts towards mutual aid, have been so swift and impactful that fisherman have been left in tears of gratitude for the work that he’s done and recognizing and supporting them.

These two have a ton in common, both standing strong against industry poisoning the people of Louisiana.

The documentary, following them, .dreamers.become.heroes, just released its trailer.
