1932 Park Studio – A photography studio
1946 & 1950 Nobles’ Tailer and Hat Shop
The previous owner was Nicholas James Schwake who had a T.V. repair business in the back for many years. The front was a barber shop for many years (closed 2017) Drumb’s Haircuts – Donald E. Drumb
Following the acquisition and restoration of the property by Ty Albright 2017 the front has been a hair salon or barber shop, and the back is a 1BR / 1Bth apartment. Per records and evidence from restoration efforts, this property was originally a Carriage House – it likely served the adjacent Flower Bluff house. Over the years someone put a brick façade around the barn and concerted it into a commercial building. During renovations a lot of old automobile parts (possibly from Ford Model T cars) was found under the floor boards. When renovated, a new building was basically built inside to shore up the property and everything was made new. History of Nobles’ Tailor and Hat Shop
321 W. Muskogee was occupied by a married couple who lived (in the back with their children) and worked at this property. They provided tailor service back in the day when Muskogee Avenue had numerous department and clothes stores – it was common back then that clothing purchased would need to be hemmed or adjusted to meet the needs of the customer and they provided these services for many of the stores in town.

323 W. Muskogee was

The property was then Hills Heating & Air for many years
The property was owned by Tim Stinson. Following the acquisition and restoration of the property by Ty Albright 2016 the property has been Willie Joe’s Community Space (Ty Albright’s personal art studio and shared use space). The History of Johnny Moore
This per Roger Williams – grandson of Johnny Moore (who came by Willie Joe’s 2018)
Johnny Moore had a tow truck / wrecker / auto repair business that operated out of 323 W. Muskogee Ave. Sulphur Oklahoma for many years. Johnny had an old funeral hearse which he converted into a tow truck / wrecker – which he had painted purple. Johnny and his wife raise 3 children in this building from 1946 until 1972 +/- (per Patti Walls – wife was Lorene and children were Lavoy, Regia and Ladayne) The front room was typically occupied by a car or two, and tools. The family somehow lived in the back two rooms and out back in a screened-in porch. One of the children (Roger’s aunt) was married on site by a JP when she was 16 years old. The back fenced-in area of the property was the City of Sulphur’s impound lot (city hall and court was across the street – now the Arbuckle Historical Society) and all “wrecks” were brought into this lot. At Johnny’s funeral many police / sheriff / highway patrol officers were present as they had an association with him over the years. Johnny was known to carry a pistol with him at all times, and on occasion, in a moment of frustration or jubilee – he would pull the gun from its holster and shoot a round into the ceiling. Near the front entrance of Willie Joe’s there are two obvious bullet holes – one seems to be a small caliber .22, the other a much larger caliber. Other round holes at various locations are attributed to potential other “shots in the air”. Roger recalls at age 8 – 10, he and his cousins would play outside along the sides of the building.
