Brother Thomas Earl Nolen, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, has laid down his working tools.

Thomas was a dedicated member of the Peace and Harmony Masonic Lodge, where he fostered lasting friendships and contributed to the values of brotherhood and community service. He had an unparalleled ability to make others laugh, often sharing stories and jokes that brought smiles to the faces of those around him. He cherished his family above all else, and his love for them was evident in everything he did. Whether it was family gatherings, holidays, or just quiet moments at home, Thomas's spirit and laughter will forever echo in the hearts of his loved ones.

Thomas will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at Houston River Baptist Church at 11:00 am on March 1, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am for family and 9:30 am for all other friends and loved ones. Burial at Mimosa Pines North will follow.

Richard Leonard Stout, 92, passed away on February 28, 2024, at a local care facility. Richard was born on May 23, 1931, in Lake Charles, LA, to Leonard R. and Nellie LeBrun Stout. He moved to the Sulphur Mines in 1937 and then to the town of Sulphur in 1942. Richard graduated from Sulphur High Scho...

Jules F. “Jeff” Webb, 79, of Florine, LA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
Mr. Webb was born in New Orleans and spent most of his life in Sulphur. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1964 and married his high school sweetheart, Anita Valentine. After working for many years at Conoco, he graduated from McNeese State University and retired as a financial consultant from Merrill Lynch in 1994. He enjoyed his last 29 years living on Toledo Bend Lake.
He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge and held the title as Grand Master in the state of Louisiana and also President of George Washington Memorial in Alexandria, VA.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anita; children, Melissa (David) Linscomb, Michael Webb, and Penny Weatherford; sixteen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
A funeral service followed by a Masonic service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Dennis Snoddy will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and continue until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Leesville Hospice, 1615 S. 5th Ave., Leesville, LA 71446.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Justin, Jeffrey, Joseph, and Jerome Linscomb, Hudson Webb, Drake and Peyton Taveny, and Beaux Weatherford.

Sulphur Lodge #424 will hold a stated meeting on Monday September 18, 2023 at 7:00PM.
A meal will be provided at 6:00PM, on the Trestleboard is Regular Business.

The 10th Masonic District will hold its annual open air degree on Sunday, September 24th. It will be held at Niblett's Park Recreation Pavilion in Nibletts Bluff. (3409 Niblett Bluff Road-Vinton, LA.) Meal served at 11am with the degree to begin at 12pm. All Master Masons are welcome and invited to attend.
