Pick up your Sulphur Times Democrat and read about the decline in sales tax and other City Council Meeting highlights!
I can't stress enough how Important it is to shop local. When you go to other towns and shop you are supporting their town and their community, not the one you live in.
I understand you can't always find what you need locally, this is where shopping online helps. For example, Amazon collects sales tax based on where it will be delivered. So consider this option if you can't find it locally.
On a positive note, 17 letters were mailed on July 24th for public nuisance, with more going out soon.
Thank you Andy for working on this issue and thank you in advance for what you will do to stay on those nuisances!

There is no denying Sulphur needs affordable housing but is this really going to be affordable? Is this the answer and what is right for our town? I don't have the answers for this. These are just questions I would ask.
Pray for our councilmen that they will seek guidance from the Lord for each and every decision and vote they make. May each one of us look into our own hearts, motives and put away all selfishness. When I speak of selfishness, we must all look at the reasons we are for it or against it. It is so easy to let selfishness, pressure, friends and other influences cause anyone of us to make impulsive decisions. If each one of us would put Jesus and his way first, can you just imagine the harmony our town would have?
As I typed this Isaiah 55:8-9 popped into my head, but to begin with verse 6 is the key and that is to seek the Lord.
