🚨🎓 TEXAS SENIORS, IT’S GO TIME! 💰

You’ve been waiting for this opportunity, and now it’s time to make those college dreams happen! 🙌

⚠️ A LITTLE REMINDER: Thousands of students are jumping on ApplyTexas right now! The system is getting bombarded, especially during these first few days. 🖥️😅

If pages are loading slowly or you’re having trouble getting through, BE PATIENT! Take a break and try again later.

💡 Don’t rush through your applications just to hit submit. Accuracy matters more than speed!

🎯 And remember, submitting your college application is just ONE step toward college readiness. Keep working on scholarships, FAFSA preparation, and your next steps!

📲 TAG a senior who needs this reminder and SHARE with your parent groups!

A few kind folks have asked about our Care Closets. Here are the main items we keep for students. Donations can be dropped off at any SSISD Elementary to High School. Contacts in comments.

Mrs. Mac’s campus at BBE showed up and showed out in their new CIS Be Kind shirts! 💕

Thank you to all the staff who purchased a shirt and supported our students. We appreciate your generosity and support!

📚 : What is chronic absence?

Chronic absence is when a student misses 10% or more of the school year, roughly 18 days in a 180-day school year.

Those days add up.

Missing school can mean missing:
📖 Important learning
🤝 Connections with caring adults
👥 Time with classmates
🎯 Opportunities to stay on track

At Communities In Schools, we work to understand the barriers behind attendance challenges and surround students with the support they need to keep showing up.

Because showing up today can help shape what’s possible tomorrow. 💙

Being present matters.
