❤️ Everyone thinks their OB is the best until they miss their child’s CHD on the 20-22 week scan and say they the see all 4 chambers; but your child doesn’t have that many you’d find out later. ❤️

A teen heart patient is now eligible for a transplant after a conflict with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital over its policies.

She was initially not allowed on the transplant list at Children’s because she did not have her flu and COVID vaccines.

These are Annabelle’s morning medications. She is an 8 year old with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She, like so many heart warriors have had/taken many different medication regiments along the way.

Some doctors say will stay for as long as she does; while a couple may change over time.

Some of the drugs heart warriors take are a double edge sword. They offer relief in many way to the patient, but also come with short and long term side effects.

We are so thankful for modern medicine. Without it and life saving treatments and transplant options, many would not be here enjoying life today.

CHD - 1/100 babies born in the USA are born with a congenital heart defect.
