Today, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and moved our Spread the Love Club outside! 🌿☀️ There’s something special about fresh air and open spaces that makes it a little easier to open up, be vulnerable, and connect with each other.

One of the core values we talk about in our group is common humanity - the understanding that none of us are alone in our struggles. Seeing these girls share their stories, lift each other up, and remind one another, “I’ve been there too,” is what this club is all about. 💛

Vulnerability isn’t weakness—it’s strength. And these young women are living proof of that. So grateful to witness their courage and compassion every week. 💕

I wanted this one to have a permanent spot on the grid. These girls are so special, creative, and kind beyond words. They inspire me with their big hearts, endless potential, and the way they see the world through a lens of compassion and creativity.

The most amazing thing? The ripple effect. Every act of kindness, every spark of creativity, every ounce of compassion they have for themselves and encouragement for others to have the same compassion will touch countless lives. The people they meet, the connections they make — it’s all going to grow into something so much bigger than they can imagine.

I feel so lucky to get to work with all of our Spread the Love Club girlies. How incredibly fortunate am I that I get to cheer them on, and watch their journeys unfold. Here’s to the magic they’re creating and the lives they’re already changing. 🤍✨

Reflecting back on this Thanksgiving, we’re feeling especially grateful for the incredible students we get to work with every day and the ones who have already come through Just Be You programs (you know who you are 🤍)

They are kind-hearted innovators, champions of inclusivity, and endlessly creative spirits. They remind us daily that the future is bright.

Their passion for making the world a better place inspires us and gives us so much hope. Watching them support one another, share their talents, and grow into the amazing people they are becoming is an honor we never take for granted.

At Just Be You, we’re thankful to be part of their journey. These young hearts are going to do big, bold things and the world will be better for it. Here’s to a future led by compassion, courage, and creativity. ✨

MEET KEMPSON + KRISTEN 💕🌸🧡

Kempson and Kristen are the leaders of our Lucy Beckham High School Spread the Love Club! In their first year as leaders, they’ve embraced the role with energy and commitment. They lead by example with kindness, confidence, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting others!

We asked Kempson and Kristen to share a few fun facts about themselves - take a look!

☀️Kempson’s perfect day would start with a yummy breakfast and Kristen’s would start with sleeping in and getting Starbucks.

🌙To close their day, Kristen would end with a sleepover with her friends and Kempson’s would end with a sunset boat ride!

🎶Kempson’s go to pump up song is any Taylor Swift song and Kristen’s is London Bridge.

🦉Kristen’s wise words to live by are, “I am enough just the way I am!” and Kempson tells herself “I’m worthy of love!”

Today, on World Mental Health Day 🌎, we pause to acknowledge the importance of mental health and remind ourselves that it’s okay to ask for help, seek support, and prioritize self-care. At Just Be You, we believe that confidence starts with self-compassion, being kind to yourself, especially on the tough days.

Remember, it’s okay to not be okay. You are enough, just as you are. If you’re struggling, know you’re not alone. Ask for help when you need it and check in on people. You never know what someone else is going through.

Best start to my Friday! Let’s make a pact… be kind to yourself this weekend and look after each other. Include somebody that maybe you wouldn’t have otherwise. Encourage others to do the same. Be kind, be safe, be YOU 🤍

MEET CISSY + SIMS 🌼💜🦋

Cissy and Sims are the leaders of our Ashley Hall Spread the Love Club! Things have come full circle for these two, as they were the attendees of a group their Freshman year and now it is their turn to lead! These girls have charisma, warmth and a passion for helping others that will make them exceptional leaders and just wonderful humans.

We asked Cissy and Sims to share a few fun facts about themselves - take a look!

☀️Sims’ perfect day would start with waking up early and going to get breakfast at with friends and Cissy’s would start with sleeping in, a cycle class at and then eating at .

🌙To close their day, Sims’ would go to Sullivan’s Island to watch the sunset and swim with her best friend and Cissy’s would end with a skincare night and binging her favorite show!

🎶Cissy’s go to pump up song is No Fears and Sims’ is anything Gracie Abram’s.

🦉Sims’ wise words to live by are, “Just because today was bad doesn’t mean tomorrow will be too!” Cissy tells herself “I am going in the right direction.”

Back to school week is happening here in Charleston! I am extra thinking about all of our Spread the Love club girls this week. Some are are starting their freshman year, some are the seniors on campus, some are leaving for college 😭 and others are carving their path out of school and in the real world. This is just a reminder that you are magic! Please continue to be kind to yourself and know your worth. You have incredible resilience and can do hard things. I am incredibly proud of each and every one of you and cannot wait to see all that you comes your way this year ✨✨💫

I also want to challenge you (and others) to make that extra effort to include somebody. Remember back to school brings angst (which is normal) and everyone is on a different path. That one extra kind word today or inclusion at the lunch table can make all of the difference. Be kind to yourself, be kind to others and watch as you give permission for others to do the same 🤍

As school gets closer, you may start to get butterflies and feel a little anxious. Take a note from our Spread the Love Club girls and settle those butterflies with breathing exercises, mindful practices and maybe a sweet treat!

MEET ELLY 💜🦋✨

Elly is a senior at Lucy Beckham High School and is a group leader of a Spread the Love Club! She is the first to help, the one who speaks from the heart and the one with the most infectious smile! We are so lucky to have Elly involved and watch her leadership skills soar. Be sure to follow along and see what Elly and her club come up with for their service project!
