Moultrie County First Responders Fundraiser

Earlier this week, members of the Moultrie County First Responders had the opportunity to deliver school supplies to Sullivan Elementary, Okaw Valley Elementary, and ALAH Elementary Schools!

This is what our fundraiser is all about: coming together as a community and giving back to the students, teachers, and schools that mean so much to our communities.
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported our fundraiser in any way. Without your generosity and continued support, opportunities like this would not be possible!

We would also like to thank Sullivan, Okaw Valley, and ALAH Elementary Schools for welcoming us into your schools and allowing this fundraiser to be possible. The best part of the fundraiser is connecting with the local elementary school students each year. We are grateful for the opportunity to help and look forward to continuing to support our local communities and schools!

With that being said, the 2026 Moultrie County First Responder Fundraiser has come to an end. We will be accepting donations year-round and look forward to seeing everyone for the 2027 Fundraiser!

Guns (Police) are 2-0! Better luck next year, Hoses (Fire)!!

Our students, at the elementary school, had a special visit from the Moultrie County First Responders today. The students were gifted a cup and ruler, and each classroom was gifted a large box of school supplies, recess playground balls and a large box of Kleenex. What an amazing donation to get the year started!! Thank you First Responders!!

🏆 2nd Annual Guns vs. Hoses Softball Battle ⚾

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, first responders from across Moultrie County came together at Crowder Park in Bethany for the 2nd Annual Guns vs. Hoses Softball Battle. It was a great day filled with friendly competition, community spirit, and support for an incredible cause.

This year's game ended with the "Guns" defeating the "Hoses" 29-9, improving the all-time series record to 2-0 in favor of the Guns. While there was plenty of competition on the field, the true victory belonged to our community.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, participants, and everyone who attended, we are proud to announce that approximately $22,000 was raised during the year for the Moultrie County First Responders Fundraiser!

We had an amazing time this past Saturday night at the Moultrie County First Responders' Guns Vs Hoses Softball game! Shawnee Communications is proud to support our local heroes and their mission to give back to Moultrie County schools by providing much-needed school supplies. Together, we’re building a stronger community!

We are here at crowder park prepping the field! We hope to see everyone here at 6pm, at Crowder Park (Bethany, IL)! Should be a fun time! Meals for purchase at game!
