Have you ever been scrolling through FB and seen a mugshot/news story and noticed people sharing it over and over then paused to read some of the comments? The hurtful name calling, especially when it’s someone from the community?
Sin. We are ALL guilty! Yet somehow we feel justified and can be so self righteous calling people names because they got caught or perhaps their sins look different than ours.
Where is grace? Why do we not grieve for these people, commit to pray for them and extend grace to them? We are called to be Christians which means being like Christ. Don’t you think His heart grieves over sins?
There’s a saying in recovery “We are only as sick as our secrets” yet how many of us sit in our pew Sunday after Sunday completely sick because of secrets we are keeping? Yet we walk around in life with a bag of stones in our hands ready to throw them at others for their sins knowing very good and well we are guilty of sin ourselves?
Grace.
The beautiful thing about grace is NO-ONE deserves it yet it’s available to EVERYONE if we will just surrender our life to Him. It’s available to the murderer, the addict, the abuser, the child molester, the liar, the thief, the sexually immoral the list goes on and on.
Grace....unmerited favor... flowing from His pierced body down to us, cleansing us from ALL unrighteousness. May we receive it and may we extend it to others as well. Who can you extend grace to today? Extend grace not because they deserve it but extend it because you have received it!!! The ground is level at the foot of the cross! Have a blessed day! ©️😘💜🙏🏻🙌🏻

Every time I tell someone I go to Celebrate Recovery, I can almost see the question forming in their head. “Oh… so what were you addicted to?”

And honestly, that’s exactly why so many people never walk through the doors.

Because somewhere along the way, we decided recovery was only for people whose struggles were visible.

But what about the woman who can’t sleep because anxiety is running the show?

What about the guy whose anger is costing him every relationship he has?

What about the people pleaser who is exhausted from carrying everyone else’s problems while silently drowning in their own?

What about the perfectionist who believes their worth is tied to performance?

What about the person stuck in shame, fear, control, resentment, toxic relationships, insecurity, depression, or the need for everyone’s approval?

See, those things may not come in a bottle.
But they’ll still destroy your peace.

Celebrate Recovery isn’t about what you’re addicted to. It’s about what you’re hiding.

The truth is, every single one of us has something we’re using to cope, avoid, numb, control, or protect ourselves.

Some people’s hurts are obvious.
Others wear a smile, serve at church, show up to work, post the happy pictures, and quietly fall apart when nobody’s looking.

That’s why I love Celebrate Recovery.
Not because it’s a place for broken people.
Because it’s a place where people stop pretending they’re not.

No one is shocked by your story.
No one is keeping score.
No one is asking you to be perfect.

Just honest.

And maybe that’s why God moves so powerfully there. Because healing starts where pretending ends.

So no… Celebrate Recovery isn’t just for drugs and alcohol.

It’s for anyone who’s tired of carrying something they were never meant to carry alone.

And if we’re being real?

That’s probably all of us.

Growing up in church he experienced church hurt at a young age. As he entered HS he began using drugs. Eventually the drugs took over his life and he found himself deep in addiction. He then entered a local recovery center and God began to really work in his life. As he looks back over the last 7.5 years so much has changed for him in ways he never imagined. In his words “My testimony is really about redemption-how God can take brokenness, addiction and disappointment, and turn them into purpose, restoration, and a new life”
Come join us this Saturday May 30th at 8:30 a.m. as we hear a powerful story of a young man so lost but not too far for God. As always, free breakfast and childcare.

From the young age of 13, she was taught you couldn’t trust people. Their Behavior was a language. This was reiterated over and over by countless people in her life. She was lied to, taken advantage of, forced to do things she never wanted to do.
She’s experienced so much loss, betrayal, and abuse that many would grow angry and bitter but she’s never doubted Gods love.
Come join us Saturday morning April 17th for a very powerful testimony!! This is one that will bring tears to your eyes as you hear what she has endured. Free Breakfast and childcare available! The coffee is hot and the hearts are warm. Come see what you have been missing!!

Losing her dad at a young age
and desperately longing for the attention of a father figure in her life drove her to seek attention from any man who would give it to her. No matter the red flags, she always proceeded in unhealthy relationships believing in her heart she could change them. After multiple failed marriages and finally finding Celebrate Recovery, she realized she was seeking her fulfillment in places that could not fill her.
But GOD!!
As she has continued to seek a closer relationship with the Lord and began working through her past, she is now finding victory and contentment in her relationship with her Heavenly Father.
Come join us this Saturday at 8:30 a.m. for a great testimony of one of our own members who though she never struggled with chemical addiction, soon discovered that Celebrate Recovery could totally transform her life. Free breakfast and free childcare available!!
