Do you want to honor an American Hero for the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States of America?
The American Legion Auxiliary and The East Central Illinois Red Cross Club will be selling “American Hero” yard signs for $20. The signs have an American Flag, the words “American Hero” and “America’s 250th Anniversary," and space for personalization. A stand will also be provided.

They will be available for sale at the American Legion or may be reserved by emailing Becky Lawson ([email protected]) or Tina Bolsen ([email protected]).

Pickup and sale dates and times will be shared soon.

People who purchase signs which they personalize to honor military veterans, current members of the military, and/or first responders may participate with members of the Auxiliary in Sullivan's 4th of July parade.

Veterans Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 11th. Sullivan Schools would like to invite the community to our Veterans Day programs. The Sullivan Elementary School program begins at 8:45 AM in the Sullivan Middle School gym. Doors will open to the middle school at 8:15 AM. Sullivan Middle/High School will present a Veterans Day program at 10:30 AM in the Sullivan Middle School gym. Please join us for a morning of honoring those men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms and our country.
