The Arthur Legacy of Love Foundation is excited to invite the area community to our third "Raise the Roof Benefit Supper & Auction" that will be held Friday evening, April 10 at the Otto Center located 1/2 mile south of Arthur. It will be another wonderful and enjoyable evening, and we invite you to join us for the fun!
Serving starts at 4:00 pm and runs through 7:00 pm for the delicious chicken dinner that includes scalloped potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, homemade bread, cake and ice cream, and drinks. Chicken dinner payment is by donation. There will also be a Lunch Stand (grilled sandwiches, curly fries, etc.), a Bake Sale featuring a variety of homemade baked goodies, homemade pretzel and ice cream stands, and much more, including both a Silent and Live Auction.
The Silent Auction will end at 7:30 pm. It features beautiful baskets containing great products from area businesses, valuable gift cards, holiday world vouchers and a silver coin as just a sampling of what you can bid on.
The Live Auction starts at 6:00 pm. It will feature a variety of new furniture (indoor, dining room, living room, and outdoor), a Blackstone Griddle, garden and power tools, household items, toys, Illini tickets, and many, many other items.
New this year is a Kids Raffle! Tickets will be 1 for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00! We have so many neat items including nerf guns, games and water toys!
Also in the Live Auction, several community members will offer unique experiences “for sale” Lavern Schlabach of Das Holz Haus is offering a woodworking shop tour, and Arthur Fire Chief Chris Helton is offering a ride for two with him in a big new fire truck for the Arthur Freedom Celebration parade on June 27 honoring the 250th birthday of the USA. Or in order to create wonderful memories with your kids or grandkids, you can enjoy a photo shoot from local amazing photographer Marilyn Miller, or buy a personalized tour of the Illinois Capital with Senator Chapin Rose and four tickets to the Lincoln Museum. If you would like a week of relaxation in a beautiful home in Pinecraft (Sarasota), Florida, the auction is where you can get it and MANY more experiences to enjoy.
And do NOT miss the ALOLF VIP Sale of pies and other items!!! Our special VIP's are lining up family members to assist them in selling some great items that you will NOT want to miss.
All proceeds will go to support the building costs for our CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangement) homes for citizens in our community with learning and developmental disabilities. This unique ALOLF event is designed to bring people together for a worthy cause, to have fun, and to give God glory for what He is doing in our community. Plan to bring your family and / or some friends and enjoy an evening of great food, fun, and fellowship!
