The following is a testimony of Pastor Matt Burden one of the Good News Club leaders at the Calais Elementary School.

“My family and I were out for an evening walk in Calais near the beginning of summer vacation, and as we passed by local playground, we noticed Ryker one of our Good News club kids playing there. It had been about a month since club ended, but he spotted us in instantly recognized my wife Rachael, though he knows both of us from club. He also knows her from her job at the elementary school. He ran up to her and gave her a big hug. Then, for the first time he turned and noticed me standing there his eyes went wide, and he let out a gasp of wonder “No way!” he shouted as if he just seen his favorite celebrity or superhero straight out of the movies. He ran up and hugged me too, then brought us over to talk with his mom it was a wonderful connection and a touching reminder of the way God uses us to bless these kids.”

What a blessing to be just a small part of the lives of the children.

Thank you Calais team for all you did to bless this boy’s life!!

What a wonderful Saturday we had at Larabbee Baptist Church ministering to the next generation of church leaders. We had some serious moments of reflection and teaching as we did a devotional together, learned how to study the Bible for our own personal understanding of who God is and how to present the Gospel to children. But we also had some fun with some Minute-To- Win- It games and even an egg dropping contest!! 🥚 Please be in prayer for these young people as they will be ministering to children this summer in their communities and churches!!

We will be a hosting ECHO Burst training from 9 am - 3pm, which is an opportunity for teens ages 13-17 to play games, conquore challenges, learn how to grow their own faith, and how to share the gospel.

Good News Club at RMG. Please pray for them as they will be meeting every week for the rest of the school year!

On this particular day, a young boy believed in Jesus for the first time!! His eternal home has been sealed in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Will you please pray for him and all the others gathering at this club?

Thank you Marshfield Congregational Church for allowing us to come and present how the Lord is using CEF of Eastern Maine to further His kingdom in the hearts and minds of children all over Washington and Hancock counties.
It was an honor to worship the Lord with you yesterday. May the Lord continue to bless the work you are doing in your neck of the woods in Downeast Maine! What a blessing you are to the Lord, His people and your community!
