Sullivan VFW Post 3987 and its Auxiliary conducted a Memorial Day service to honor and remember all local veterans and civilians who served and sacrificed before us. The ceremony paid tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our country and ensured their legacy will never be forgotten.

Following the service, the VFW hosted a cookout that had the highest attendance the post has seen thus far. We greatly appreciate all of the community support and everyone who came together to help honor our veterans and make the day such a success. ,, , ,

Today you will find VFW (and possibly other Veteran Organizations) distributing Buddy Poppies throughout the area. Donations collected go directly back to veterans programs.

On Monday, May 25, the VFW will hold its annual Memorial Day BBQ and memorial service. The ceremony will take place at 12:00 PM near the flagpoles, and food will be served thereafter.
The menu features pork steaks, potato salad, coleslaw, deviled eggs, and other items. We welcome contributions of extra sides and desserts. Veterans eat FREE, all other are $9.00.
