CSS is a private non profit organization serving the blind and visually impaired in lower Luzerne County and Schuylkill and Carbon Counties. Our mission is to keep blind and visually impaired individuals independent in their community, and to prevent blindness by education programs and screenings. The organization assists the visually impaired by providing in home services such as mail reading, ch

eck writing, transportation to medical appointments and grocery shopping. Other services includes advocacy, support groups, life skills education, and counseling. Community Services for Sight also provides a prevention of blindness program by conducting vision screenings with preschool age children, glaucoma screenings for seniors and in our local industrial corporations, and education programs from pre k- adult.
