CSS is a private non profit organization serving the blind and visually impaired in lower Luzerne County and Schuylkill and Carbon Counties. Our mission is to keep blind and visually impaired individuals independent in their community, and to prevent blindness by education programs and screenings. The organization assists the visually impaired by providing in home services such as mail reading, check writing, transportation to medical appointments and grocery shopping. Other services includes advocacy, support groups, life skills education, and counseling. Community Services for Sight also provides a prevention of blindness program by conducting vision screenings with preschool age children, glaucoma screenings for seniors and in our local industrial corporations, and education programs from pre k- adult.

Community services for Sight is excited to announce it will be the organizer of Christmas in Conyngham on December 5. All proceeds from the event will benefit Community Services for Sight. If you would like to be a food vendor or a regular vendor, please fill out the application and return by November 15th. We are excited to celebrate the holidays with our community.
