Volunteers Needed at the Nature Store in Big Pine Key
Do you enjoy nature, wildlife, and meeting visitors from around the world? The Florida Keys Wildlife Society is seeking friendly volunteers to help staff the Nature Store at the Nature Center in Big Pine Key.
The Nature Store is located at 30587 Overseas Highway, Big Pine Key, FL 33043

Volunteer shifts are available Wednesday through Saturday:
10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
12:30 PM – 3:00 PM
The Nature Store is operated by the staff and volunteers of the Florida Keys Wildlife Society, the official Friends group supporting the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Florida Keys National Wildlife Refuges Complex. Store volunteers help welcome visitors and assist with sales of nature-themed gifts and educational items, including T-shirts, hats, mugs, books, local art, jewelry, reusable shopping bags, children’s games, hiking medallions, and more.

Most importantly, all proceeds from the Nature Store directly support wildlife research, conservation, and environmental education activities throughout the Refuges. Volunteering at the Nature Store is a wonderful way to support conservation in the Florida Keys, connect with the community, and share your appreciation for the unique wildlife and natural beauty of our islands.

Whether you can help once a week or occasionally, your time makes a difference.

Please don't forget our final SSPOA meeting of the season tomorrow, Tuesday, April 21, upstairs in the Sanctuary at the Sugarloaf Church on Crane Blvd. Our special guest speaker will be our own Monroe County Commissioner and current Monroe County Mayor Michelle Lincoln. Mayor Lincoln will make a presentation and then take questions. Social time begins at 6 pm, with the meeting starting at 6:30.
