Historic Appointment Announcement 🐎

Dr. George Smith was named the Vice President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council.

During the recent National Pan-Hellenic Conference held in Houston, Texas, Dr. George Smith was appointed Vice President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027.

This historic moment for Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. stands as a testament to the intentional focus of the 24th Administration—elevating the profile of Iota, cultivating the talents of our brothers, and leveraging our collective resources to position the fraternity for greater impact and growth.

Dr. Smith brings over 30 years of distinguished service to this role, having served in multiple national capacities, including Board Chair and International Grand Secretary across several administrations. His depth of experience and unwavering commitment to leadership excellence uniquely equips him to represent Iota at the highest levels of fraternal collaboration.

With heavy hearts, we must cancel this year’s Domestic Violence Awareness Walk.
Due to field conditions and the threat of flooding and inclement weather, it is crucial to prioritize everyone's safety.

This decision was not made lightly. In a time when raising awareness is more urgent than ever, stepping back feels especially painful.

We remain committed to this cause and we’ll return next year with even greater energy, impact, and purpose.
