Today, August 19, is World Humanitarian Day, a time to honor the people who step forward when others need support.

Here in Fort Bend County, compassionate action can look like food for a family, stability during housing uncertainty, emotional and family wellness support, or skills that create a path forward.

Through Scratch Hunger, Safe Sanctuary, Wellness Works, and Next Level Empowerment, Palmer House helps families move forward with dignity and hope.

During National Wellness Month, we are reminded that wellness touches every part of life.

Through Wellness Works, Palmer House connects people with compassionate support for emotional well being, maternal and infant care, financial literacy, workforce development, and the practical skills that help families move forward with confidence.

Together, we are giving hope, empowering lives, and helping families move forward.

Palmer House is proud to collaborate with the NAACP Missouri City & Vicinity Branch Voter Education Seminar, presented by Councilwoman Monica Riley.

Last year, Palmer House donated backpacks and school supplies through our Back-to-School Initiative. We remain committed to supporting students, families, and educational opportunities throughout our community.

Join us to learn how political decisions affect school funding, curriculum, student rights, resources, and the opportunities available to our children.
