🇺🇸✨ DAV Chapter 233 held another productive meeting on June 11, 2026! Members came together to discuss ways to better serve our fellow veterans, strengthen our outreach efforts, and continue making a positive impact in our community. 💪🤝

🌸 We were also proud to celebrate some of the amazing women in our chapter by presenting certificates from the Department Women's Committee in recognition of their dedication and service. Thank you for all you do to support veterans and inspire those around you! 💜👏🎖️

📅 During the meeting, we also highlighted several important upcoming observances, including Women Veterans Day 🇺🇸👩‍✈️, the U.S. Army's Birthday 🎂🪖, and Flag Day 🇺🇸🚩. These occasions remind us of the service, sacrifice, and contributions of those who have defended our nation.

🇺🇸⚓ D-Day Remembrance – June 6, 1944 ⚓🇺🇸

🌊 On June 6, 1944, American and Allied forces launched the D-Day invasion of Normandy—the largest amphibious assault in history. Through extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and determination, these brave men stormed the beaches and helped turn the tide of World War II. 💪🇺🇸

🕊️ Today, 82 years later, we pause to remember the thousands who gave their lives on that historic day. We also honor all who served during World War II—those on the front lines and those supporting the war effort at home—whose unwavering dedication helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today. 🇺🇸⭐

❤️ Their legacy of service, sacrifice, and resilience continues to inspire generations. May we never forget the heroes of the Greatest Generation and the price they paid for liberty.

Today, our members proudly participated in the District 2 Caucus, where important discussions took place regarding the future of our district and organization. We congratulate the newly elected District 2 Finance Committee Chair and look forward to working together to continue strengthening DAV's mission. 👏🎉

Chapter 233 was honored to have members serving on a variety of committees throughout the convention. These committees play a vital role in shaping policies, reviewing resolutions, recognizing achievements, and ensuring DAV continues to advocate for Veterans and their families across Texas. 🤝🇺🇸

We are proud to represent our chapter, our community, and the Veterans we serve. Every meeting, committee session, and discussion helps move our mission forward and ensures the voices of Veterans are heard. 💪💙

Today promises to be a day filled with learning, collaboration, and recognition as we join fellow veterans and advocates from across Texas. We look forward to hearing remarks from several esteemed veterans, including our National Executive Committee District 20 Member, and gaining valuable insight into the future of DAV and the veterans we serve. 🎤🇺🇸

The District Caucus will commence, committees will begin their important work, and we will celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of members and chapters through Department awards. 🏅👏
