The Arc of Fort Bend County The Arc ensures opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to maximize their quality of life within our community.

The Arc provides information and referral services. Our knowledgeable staff can discuss a variety of issues with families or refer you to more appropriate sources. We facilitate informational meetings to explore timely topics and provide one-on-one support. We can guide you through our office brochures and website where we maintain hundreds of information resources. The Arc provides a staff member

Educational Advocate to educate parents and assist them with school ARDs (Admission, Review, Dismissal committee). We ensure students are enrolled in special education services, recieve FAPE (Free and Appropriate Public Education), and the school follows IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) guidelines. The Arc leases commercial buildings to qualified providers who develop and implement job training, coaching, employment programs, and day habilitation programs. We offer residential services by purchasing homes in Fort Bend County and then leasing them at below-market rates to qualified providers who agree to staff these as group homes and help those living in them with their special needs. We offer Commercial Properties to a provider who staffs Learning Centers at these locations. The Arc in collaboration with Fort Bend Transit fund reliable, safe, and affordable van transportation services for qualified residents with disabilities so they can meet employment obligations.
