SCAM ALERT: Fake police/jury duty calls

Sugar Land Police have seen an increase of scam calls from people impersonating Officers.
The story changes, a warrant, missed jury duty, unpaid tickets, but the goal remains the same: to pressure you into paying! Often times the scammers will ask for gift cards, cashapp, Venmo, or bitcoin.

Red Flags:
-Unexpected calls or texts claiming you have a warrant, have missed jury duty, or have unpaid tickets.
-Request for immediate payment.

Important:
- Real Officers will NEVER ask for payment over the phone.
-Real Officers will NEVER ask you to pay for warrants, tickets, or missed jury duty via cashapp, Venmo, bitcoin, gift card, or any other means.

If you receive a call, text, or email asking for payment, DON’T PAY!
If you question the validity of the call, contact our non-emergency number 281-275-2020

We're proud to announce the return of the 9/11 Stair Climb here at Constellation Field on Friday, September 11 in commemoration of the fallen first responders during the 9/11 attacks.
