What fruit are you bearing in your life? This week's message challenges us to look beyond the surface and examine what's really happening on the inside. Just as a tree is known by its fruit, our lives reveal what's truly in our hearts—whether we realize it or not.

Jesus reminds us in Luke 6:43-45 that "no good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit." We can't pretend our way to wholeness. The truth is, what's hidden beneath the surface—our unhealed wounds, unaddressed anger, or unexamined motives—will eventually impact those around us, sometimes causing unintentional harm to the very people we're trying to help.

The good news? Your wholeness is your gift to others. When we commit to honest self-reflection, surrender fully to Jesus, and pursue emotional and spiritual health, we become better disciples, better leaders, and better neighbors. Don't try to remove the speck from someone else's eye while ignoring the log in your own. Instead, let God transform you from the inside out.

Are you feeling disoriented in life right now? Maybe your dreams have shifted, your health has changed, or unexpected challenges have left you hiding away like the disciples locked in that room. This Pentecost Sunday, we're reminded that Jesus appears in our disorientation and speaks: "Peace be with you."

In John 20:19-23, Jesus doesn't just comfort His fearful disciples—He recommissions them. He breathes the Holy Spirit upon them and sends them back into the world with purpose. The same God who formed humanity from dust and breathed life into us wants to breathe fresh life into our communities today.

When we feel scattered and stuck, the answer isn't to withdraw further. It's to return to God's great commission, to receive the Holy Spirit afresh, and to remember we're united not by our preferences or politics, but by our faith in Jesus. We're a forgiven people called to forgive, a loved community sent to love.

Come, Holy Spirit, come. Breathe life into us again.

A Poem for Reflection
"In Flanders Fields" remains one of the most powerful and enduring tributes to the fallen. Written during World War I, it serves as a haunting and beautiful reminder of the legacy passed on to us.

In Flanders Fields
By John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Are you spiritually mature but still struggling to keep your life together? You're not alone. Many of us pray more, study harder, and attend more services, thinking that's the answer. But what if the problem isn't just spiritual?

This week we're launching a new series: "An Emotionally Healthy Faith." The truth is, we're not just spirit—we're spirit, soul, AND body, all deeply connected. Jesus didn't just minister to our spiritual needs; He fed the hungry, healed the sick, and wept with the grieving. He wants every part of your life.

As the Psalmist prayed, "Search me, O God, and know my heart" (Psalm 139:23-24). What rooms in your life have you locked away from Jesus? Your emotions? Your past? Your physical health? It's time to open every door and let His transforming love touch your whole being.

Join us as we discover what it means to be "sanctified entirely"—spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

When was the last time you paused to consider not who has hurt you, but who YOU might have hurt? This week's message challenges us to flip the script on forgiveness.

Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:23-24 that if someone has something against us, we shouldn't wait—we need to leave our worship at the altar and go be reconciled FIRST. It's not about justifying ourselves or making excuses. It's about taking responsibility with humility and seeking forgiveness from those we've wounded with our words, actions, or even our thoughts.

True forgiveness isn't just receiving it—it's actively pursuing reconciliation when we've been the offender. This is the way of the cross. This is what transforms us into the beautiful bride of Christ that draws others to Jesus. Are you ready to embrace the humility that reflects Christ's heart?

Series: Together to the Cross
Sermon: The Miracle of the Cross
Week 4
Day 5: Finding the Miracle in the Mess
Reading: Isaiah 9:2; John 1:1-5
Devotional: "The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light." This is the
essence of the gospel—light invading darkness, hope entering despair, life conquering death. The world is messy, broken by sin, and marked by suffering. But at the center of this mess stands the cross, God's ultimate miracle. Jesus didn't come to a perfect world; He came to a world desperate for redemption. The same is true today. Your mess—your struggles, your pain, your unanswered questions—these are not obstacles to God's work but opportunities for His glory. Stop waiting for life to be perfect before you engage God's purposes. The miracle happens in the mess. Today, invite Jesus into your most chaotic situation. Ask Him to reveal His redemptive plan.

Series: Together to the Cross
Sermon: The Miracle of the Cross
Week 4
Day 4: You Are the Light of the World
Reading: Matthew 5:14-16; 2 Corinthians 4:6-7
Devotional: Jesus declared, "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." Then He told His followers, "You are the light of the world." This isn't coincidence—it's commissioning. Jesus now shines through His people. You carry the light of Christ within you, not for your own benefit, but to illuminate the darkness around you. The miracles we seek may not always be dramatic healings, but the supernatural work of reconciliation, forgiveness, unity, and unconditional love in impossible situations. Where can you shine today? Perhaps it's offering forgiveness where it's not deserved, speaking peace into conflict, or showing love where it's unexpected. You are Christ's presence in your workplace, neighborhood, and family. Don't hide your light—let it shine so others see God's goodness.
