Meet our new Advisory council member

Shahid Hashmi

Entrepreneur | philanthropist | Community Leader

Shahid is a distinguished entrepreneur and multi-unit franchisee known as the “Popeyes Chicken King.” A native of Pakistan, he holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, and an MBA in finance from Western Illinois University.

After over two decades in telecommunications, he entered franchising in 1994 with his first Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Washington, D.C. Today, he oversees approximately 75 Popeyes locations across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast as Managing Partner of Pure Foods Management Group. His portfolio also includes Burger King, ZIPS Dry Cleaners, and Retro Fitness gyms.

Shahid’s approach to business is built on hard work, integrity, and discipline values shaped by his education and experience he will be a great addition to our organization

Pervez Sultan

Renowned Businessman | Community Leader |Philanthropist

A proven entrepreneur with decades of experience building and managing successful ventures across multiple industries.

He came to the USA in 1986 and started his business journey with gas stations in 1990, later expanding into real estate. From 2005 to 2010, he served as a store manager for one of the largest supermarkets in the tri-state area.

In 2011, he moved to Houston and re entered real estate, developing hotels, car washes, shopping centers, and multi-family properties.

Beyond business, he is recognized as a dedicated community leader and philanthropist committed to creating positive impact.

We’re proud to have him as part of the PCC USA family.

Dedicated advocate of corporate social responsibility, with more than seven years of experience overseeing community development, social investment, and welfare programs.

Recognized through interviews and published articles in international and reputable local media.

A prolific writer and analyst on a wide range of contemporary economic, business, energy, and social issues since 2002.

The Pakistan Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Aga's Minnah Scholarship Program, is pleased to announce $25,000 in academic scholarships dedicated to advancing higher education for women.

Total Award Amount: $25,000
Recipients: 10 female high school graduates
Individual Award: $2,500 per student

Eligibility
Open to female students who have completed high school and are pursuing higher education.GPA 3.5 or Above, High school Transcript, Acceptance letter from a university.
