📍Suffolk, VA - Meet Bonnie & Sissy!! 🐈♥️🐈

These gorgeous 4.5 month-old sisters were rescued from a feral colony about a month ago. Both girls were quite shy at first, but Sissy was initially terrified in captivity. We got them both spayed and Sissy was ear-tipped, as we had decided she would be happiest back in her colony where she was born. Bonnie has been the braver one since the beginning and she continues to flourish in a home environment.

Thankfully, after a month or so of getting to know Sissy and allowing her to decompress, she seems to have great potential to be a happy house cat.

Although still a bit on the shy side, the girls are super sweet and will allow you to pick them up, during which time they will both purr their heads off. With continued effort and patience, we think these two will make lovely additions to a quiet family. They don’t seem to mind other cats and they’re even doing well with the small dogs in their foster home!!

We have been SLACKING on the social media front all summer long. 😖

The truth is we’re tired. Rescue has taken its toll on us this year in a BIG way and posting on social media has turned into a chore that we simply don’t have the energy for.

We would be remiss, however to not rejoice the wins! Please join us in celebrating this group of AMAZING kitty adoptions that have taken place over the last few months:
🐈🐈Bunny & Kate-so happy they went together!!
🐈Edwin-adored by his new mom & dad and cat bro!
🐈Hawkeye-loving life as the 3rd kitty in his new fam!
🐈Nigel-the sweetest little man is helping his family heal from the loss of his amazing Symbiotic brother Joey (fka Neptune) who came before him.
🐈🐈Juliet and Daphne- sweet sisters who are now ADORED by a pair of human sisters
🐈Blizzard- adopted by her AMAZING foster family and living her best cat life!!
🐈Shimmy- adopted as a baby and recently returned, he has now been scooped up by the family who originally adopted his brother and sister, Pop and Dupree now Lucifer and Lilith!! He is one lucky dude and he and his siblings are SO loved!!
🐈🐈Yodel & Sparky-this amazing cat dad fell in love with Yodel but also adopted our sweet shy Sparky since they were besties! Both boys are loving all their new toys!!
🐈🐈Howdy & Half Pint- It was love at first sight for this family when they saw the boys on display up at Petco in Hampton. They couldn’t wait to bring them home and give them so much love!!
🐈Summer- precious Summy waited over a year for the right fam to find her and it’s finally happened. She gains a doting new mommy, a kitty bro named Ambrosius and new Instagram Aurelia | Her Royal Highness 👑 Give her a follow!

2️⃣Her little prance! When Budgie walks, she doesn’t just walk… she prances like she’s the happiest dog on the planet. It is absolutely adorable.

3️⃣She’s easy peasy! Budgie goes right into her crate for a snack, no barking, whining, or fussing. She’ll happily snooze the day away, but if you suggest a walk or a dog wants to play, she’s READY.

Meet Mariah!! 📍Suffolk, VA

This sweet diva was one of the 20 community cats we fixed back in July, and although we had every intention of returning her to her outdoor stomping ground, she decided that the pampered indoor life was the life for her! No proper diva should live out in the elements!!

She’s been with us for a few months the now and she just gets more and more beautiful with each passing day. Outdoor life is so hard on cats and she had some healing to do but she’s young (under 2) and she bounced right back.

Now as we all know, divas have very particular likes and dislikes and Mariah is no exception. She’ll beg you for pets but then nibble on you if you pet her too much. How much is too much you ask, she decides that on a case by case basis. If you walk by her and ignore her, she might smack your leg or your arm to remind you she’s there. She means no harm but she might not be the best fit for young kids or anyone who doesn’t truly understand cats.

All in all, she really is a pretty easy going gal and asks only for a little wand toy playtime, a mouse or spring toy to chase and on-time meals. She’d do great as an only cat but she also gets along with others. She does has some very light dog experience with small dogs and seems okay as long as they don’t pester her.
