🎀 Awareness matters. Access matters, too.

Knowing that you need a screening is only the first step. For women without health insurance, the cost of preventive care can become a barrier to getting it.

At Western Tidewater Free Clinic, we're committed to helping our patients access the healthcare and preventive services they need—including women's health services and connections to breast cancer screening resources.

Because finances should never be the reason someone puts their health on hold. 💗

🏠 What does it mean to have a health home?

For our patients, it means having somewhere to turn when they're sick—but it also means so much more.
It's having a team that knows you. Someone keeping an eye on your blood pressure or diabetes. Help getting the medications you need. Dental care when you're hurting. Mental health support when life gets heavy. And people who follow up because they genuinely care about how you're doing.

🎉 Happy Birthday to our Outreach Manager, Jessica! 💙

If you’ve seen a WTFC social media post, received a donor communication, volunteered with us, or connected with the Clinic out in the community, there’s a good chance Jessica had a hand in it!
Jessica helps keep WTFC connected to the people who make our mission possible. From community outreach and donor relations to communications, volunteers, events, data management and everything in between, she works behind the scenes (and sometimes in front of the scenes to her dismay! 😄) to help share our story and strengthen support for the Clinic.
Her passion for our mission and the people we serve shows in all she does.
