What is Altonskeepwrrc.org?
Altons' Keep Wildbird Rescue and Rehabilitation Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping injured and orphaned birds. Based in the Tidewater Virginia area, we aim to provide care and rehabilitation to Bald Eagles, all other birds of prey and other wild birds, with the ultimate goal of releasing them back into their natural habitat. Our organization is led by individuals passionate about wildlife conservation, including Tommy White-Hawk, a self-described Shaman of birds with a spiritual connection to the Great Horned Owl.
Our mission involves ¹:
- Rescue and Rehabilitation: Providing medical care and shelter to injured and orphaned Bald Eagles and all Migratory birds.
- Education: Teaching children and adults about the importance of wildlife conservation.
- Community Engagement: Involving volunteers and supporters in their mission to help wild birds.
