We are continuing the sale! For this next week, (August 20, 21, and 22) we will have most everything in the store half price. The good news is we have thinned out enough books that we can shelve more books. There’s newer things to discover. The Third Room is looking better. Come see for yourself and find your new favorite books to read!

Do you have a use for National Geographic Magazines? We just got two cart LOADS of them! Come in and buy a few. Magazines cost 25 cents. Get them while the selection is great! (We are open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM.)

We had a good customer turnout on Thursday but there are PLENTY OF BOOKS remaining! Also, the library people brought us books from the North Suffolk location.

We always have great prices, but for a limited time almost everything is HALF PRICE! (This is the time to pickup DVD sets of those series you thought about.) Recently published books are still full price at $4 and under.

Remember there are THREE ROOMS you are welcome to shop. Some customers become overwhelmed by Room One and never go beyond the doorway into the rest of the store.

Hope to see you soon! Bring friends. 😘

Please remember we are open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM on those days (no need to call to confirm!). Now to the announcement: LIMITED TIME* HALF PRICE SALE FOR THE ENTIRE STORE! We need to thin the books and would prefer to sell, rather than recycle and trash books! We are, after all, here as volunteers because we LOVE books! *We will honor the half price sale until August 15. There is no promise about the rest of August! Cone in early and grab the good stuff before it’s gone.

Have you seen this calendar notebook? We understand how excited everyone is to get home with their purchases. But someone took our volunteer log with them and we really would like to get it back.

The item is shown in the photo. PLEASE check your books and see if it snuck into your stack on the way out. If you have it, just come visit again soon!

Have you seen the new “taller and skinnier” shelves in Room 2? This is a sign of things to come! We have received enough shelves to replace all the shelving units in that room. But that means we have to move out the books.

The flash sale mentioned yesterday will continue for the rest of July. Basically all Room 2 books are half of their regular price. This includes all nonfiction, religion, biographical, and standard paperbacks. Soft covers are $1 as part of the July sale.

It’s hot outside. Come get something new to you!

FLASH SALE!!! We are clearing out Room 2, home of non-fiction, religion, autobiographies, and paper backs! Come get some great books for half price. (Paperbacks are still 25 cents versus 50 cents regular price.)

Hardbacks: was $2, now $1.
Large type: was $.50, now $.25
Paperbacks: was $.50, now $.25

Clear as mud? Come in and shop and we will give you these great prices.

We will be closed on July 4, 2026! Our volunteers will spend the day with our families. Come see us on July 5 between NOON and 4 PM! (This is the ONLY SUNDAY we will be open in the foreseeable future!!!)

Tldr: closed July 4. Open different hours on July 5: Noon to 4 PM.

If you MUST use the drop box, PLEASE remove books from bags before shoving them through the door! This is what happened this morning. (No, we are not open for shopping on a Monday!) We volunteers are here, doing our volunteer work, trying to catch up. I had to destroy the bag to remove the books. Gary Williams was unable to even reach the bag. Please help us out and don’t do this. We prefer you to donate multiple books while we are open. Please come see us on THURSDAYS, FRIDAYS, and SATURDAYS from 10 AM to 4 PM. We are open most holidays except for THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS . Thank you for your cooperation! (Janie B.)
