What a day! Despite a bit of rain, the skies cleared and we were treated to a beautiful evening of golf, camaraderie, and support for a great cause.

The Suffolk Firefighters Local 2801 Golf Tournament was a huge success thanks to our incredible sponsors, golfers, and volunteers who made it all possible. Your generosity and enthusiasm help us continue supporting our scholarship fund for local students.

🔥 From fun on the course (and a few creative swings at the Solo Cup Challenge!) to the friendly competition and fellowship, we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout.

Technical Rescue Association of Virginia is excited to announce a dynamic Rescue Winch Workshop. The workshop will include a very informative lecture on the principles of winch usage and specific equipment required to perform rope rescues along with hands-on practicals. This news story is the same story for Suffolk Fire & Rescue with the exception of nearly twice the amount of overtime paid out over last year. When will city council realize that we are in a crisis? 51 Firefighter positions requested over the next 3 years to only to be granted 5 this budget year. 70 people departed since January 2022. We are headed down a bad road as an industry.
