Good morning! A resident found some paperwork and a water bottle in the street at the church. D'Angelo Fletcher's name was on the paperwork. If he is a homeowner in our neighborhood, the resident who found the items left them on top of the green utility box.

A neighbor dropped their keys in the area near the mailboxes at the clubhouse recently and hasn’t been able to find them. She has asked if anyone may happen to own a metal detector and could assist her with locating them. SUFFOLK POLICE MAKE ARREST FOLLOWING SATURDAY MORNING HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

SUFFOLK, VA (May 31, 2025) Suffolk Police have arrested Derrick Corbett, 35, of Portsmouth in connection with Saturday morning’s homicide investigation in the 5600 block of Shoulders Hill Road.

Following the notification of next of kin, Suffolk Police advise the decedent of this incident is Tiffany Corbett, 35, of Norfolk.

The investigation remains ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.

SUFFOLK POLICE INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE ON SHOULDERS HILL ROAD

SUFFOLK, VA (May 31, 2025) On May 31, 2025, at approximately 1:35 a.m., Suffolk Police responded to the 5600 block of Shoulders Hill Road for reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult female deceased at the scene. Two other individuals sustained gunshot wounds. They were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Suffolk Police have identified a suspect in connection to this incident and are actively looking for the following individual:

Derrick Dontre Corbett, 35, of Portsmouth. Corbett is charged with Murder, Attempted Murder (x2), Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony (x6), and Shoot/cut/stab in the Commission of a Felony (x3).

Anyone with information regarding this incident or Corbett’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Suffolk Police Department or the Suffolk Crime Line.
