Everyone is invited to help us make history in Hillpoint Farms!

Join us on Saturday, October 24, for the official dedication of the new Hill’s Point/Fort Huger Civil War Trails marker right here in our neighborhood.

📍 Corner of Peck Lane and Terry Lane, Hillpoint Farms, Suffolk
🕚 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
🎖️ Dedication ceremony at 12:00 noon

Civil War Living History Display will be on site, so bring the whole family to see history up close and ask questions.

Our neighbors, local historians, and community partners made this marker possible. We are so grateful to everyone who helped bring this story to light.

🤖 Help Great Dismal Robotics Compete This Season! 🤖

We’ve launched a special fundraiser just for our FIRST Tech Challenge Team #31251, Great Dismal Robotics! Our high school team is back for its second season and needs to raise $5,000 for equipment, supplies, and competition costs as they prepare for meets in December and January.

💙 Donate or sponsor here: [https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/kalamoos-great-dismal-robotics-team--31251]

Come see them in action! Practices are open to the community at the Downtown Suffolk Public Library:
📅 Thursdays, 5:30 to 7:30 pm
📅 Saturdays, 11 am to 1:30 pm

Do you have robotics or technology experience? Our team would love your support as a volunteer mentor! Come out, meet our students, and join the fun. 🔧

Interested in sponsoring? Reach out to [email protected].

Please share with friends, family, and local businesses! 🙌
