Meet Lola who is looking for her forever home!
This sweet girl was found by some good samaritans on the side of the road filthy, hungry, dehydrated, and covered in cuts. They found her owner and he admitted to hitting her. He told them she supposedly lived with 6 other dogs in a house that no people were living at, and there was no power. He gave her up, and they have been trying to find her a home since.
Additional information on Lola:
She’s ~4, spayed, and finder has taken her to the vet for shots.
Unsure about how she would do with cats or kids. She likes meeting people.
She is fearful of the finders dogs- she growls near them and shakes even when trying to socialize on neutral grounds. (Shaking seems to be getting better) She plays with the neighboring dogs through a fence. And she did well at petco when waiting for her vaccines.
She’s crate trained, knows basic commands, no food or resource guarding has been noticed.
She is pretty calm when walking on leash, redirects well if she starts getting excited or pulling.
She’s a sweetheart and super loving.
At this time she would do best in a home with no other pets due to her noted fearfulness. She needs a calm environment where she can see what it really feels like to be loved.
