Mission Grandbois

Mission Grandbois Mission Grandbois is a private foundation started by The Alexandre Family in an effort to provide ass

Providing nutritional, medical, emotional, and financial assistance to the men women and children of the village of Granbois, Haiti. Annual trips to Haiti to donate clothing, food, medication, and funds to aid their living and educate them as to how to aid themselves. The recently made Goat Project was put into action to help the children of the village learn responsibility and aid their families

by raising these goats. On our last trip to Haiti we had come back on January 11th, 2010, the day before the earthquake hit Haiti and we felt it was fate that we made it out when we did. In return, we aim to help this small forgotten village where the father of Margarett Alexandre, a registered nurse, and professor in the school of nursing at Suffolk County Community College, lived until his death in 1996. "This is to give back to my home community and help my own children to not forget where they came from and to fulfill the "pay it forward" mentality and learn how to appreciate and volunteer. "Please visit us on facebook link to view some of our pictures and planned projects for the future of Granbois and its people, especially the children. We plan to:

* Build a school within the village, so that the children do not have to walk too far.
* organize a nutrition center/ soup kitchen.
* Build an urgent care/first aid care clinic.
* Continue to reenforced the benefits of education.
* Child care- Helping the villagers in recognizing signs of malnutritio

Good morning/afternoon/evening and night to all!
I know it has been a long time since I have posted an update. Mission Grandbois remains committed to the Grandbois community and continue to make a difference even though we have not been able to travel to Haiti.
We are restructuring our next steps and will keep everyone posted.
Thank you for the continued support.

Good morning/afternoon/evening and night to all my family and friends around the world!
Wonderful Sunday to all of you. With much unrest taking place in the L’Artibonite area, the Grandbois Community has remained strong and resilient. I continue to ask you for your prayers and support. Academically the children are progressing. We are awaiting the results for those students that took state exams.
However it is with profound emotion that we must report that our 5th Annual Mission Grandbois Summer Camp will not take place this year due to the safety issues in the L’Artibonite area. Help us to continue to prayer for peace, safety, security and most of all a better tomorrow for Haiti and especially the children who stand as a simple of the future🙏🏾
